Well it's that time of year again...

HOUSEMATE WANTED

A roomy room in our happy little 3 bedroom cottage in Mascot has suddenly become echoingly empty, and we are looking for a friendly soul to fill it.

We are looking for someone to share more than the bills with, someone to actively appreciate our big backyard, compost and veggie garden.

We believe in living lightly on the earth, in walking the talk, taking responsibility for our own lifestyles.
If you think on a similar wavelength, or are open to tuning into it, get in touch for more details.

by the way Mascot isn't as much in the middle of nowhere as many think, it's fairly well connected by bus to the city,UNSW and eastern suburbs (even closer if you're cycling).
$130pw+bills, room is unfurnished

Pics behind cutCollapse )

The room is quite large, it's hard to get a photo to show the whole room...!

This is a somewhat bizarre request but any answer would be greatly appreciated..
So I'm a high school visual arts student and I have a rather large assessment coming up. So for this assessment I was looking for a person meeting the following (or that is close enough to) requirements:
- Male
- Between 17-25
- Aprrox. 6foot or taller
- Blonde with shaggy or long hair
- Is willing to let me take their picture
- Is willing to wear a military style jacket/shirt (it's a ladies size 14 by the way, just thought I'd throw that in, if you have your own, that would be fine too)
- Is in/able to get to Sydney.
- Is free sometime next weekend.

I need an answer really soon like by thursday at the latest and if possible a photo of yourself which can be sent too:
sinoptykreations@gmail.com

If you're interested or know of anyone who would be pass on my information and please contact me!!

Hey LiveJournalers

I didn't mean to continue a streak of public service announcements on this community, but hey, it was bad timing. Besides, the Nerds FC vs CSE Revue game is TODAY and you're probably already on your way to it anyway.

Anyway, most of you probably already know what unsweetened is. It's UNSW's annual literary competition and literary journal, where you can get your writing published in a snazzy book that will be handed out for years to come and forever archived in the library, AND possibly win prizes worth a lot of money.

Traditionally they've only really advertised that you can enter your short stories and poetry, but this year we're trying to blow it open and get people to enter anything that has words in it. Short scripts, screenplays, essays, word art, fan-fiction, slash-fiction, you name it.

I figured since we're all on Livejournal, we're all pretty internet cool and literate and have the capacity for writing entertaining things as well as making stuff up creativity. At the very least, I'm sure you all have a few extended rants on how the state of the world sucks somewhere in your Livejournal's backlog. Think about it.

You do, don't you? Good. So print off a few copies and hand them in at ARC reception. That's it, you win!

If I find myself reading some kind of satirical Harry Potter gay fan-fiction, then I will look at the Internet and smile.

Entries close May 25th, but that should be okay because I am sure you all have great time management skills.

Guidelines and the printable entry form can be found at: http://www.arc.unsw.edu.au/studev/literary.aspx
